The day at a glance

Confirmed meetup: 5:30 AM at Stryde Studios.

The crew coordinated travel directly with Christian. The exact departure clock was not supplied for this guide. Travel starts and ends at the studio.

The saved road estimate to Grand Terrace is about 4 hours 30 minutes, without live or predictive traffic. Even departing at the meetup time would leave no loading, stop or traffic buffer before the requested 10 AM setup. Recheck the route and arrival with Christian. Keep the interview starts and setup buffers protected.

Participant update from Christian: Nefi Guzman is confirmed for 11:45 AM and Aaron De La Torre for 1:30 PM. Alfredo’s 11 AM confirmation is still pending. These are user-reported confirmations, not a fresh participant-message check.

Facility access remains separate: Grand Terrace 10 AM entry and Village 12:55 PM room entry still need confirmation. The client window ends at 3 PM. The saved 3:15 PM departure/late checkout and any contingency through 4 PM require explicit facility permission.

Trevor · field lead

Lead interviews and overall coverage; coordinate camera/audio, location moves, checks and media handoff.

Aaron Resop · camera / support

Camera and lighting support, agreed kit, B-roll and coordinated media offload. Agree the actual handoff owner before rolling.

Christian · producer

Creative direction and urgent production decisions. Confirm attendance or remote check-ins and the decision route before departure.

Direct contact details remain in the private crew copy already provided to the crew. Crew compensation and call transcripts are excluded from this public reference.

Schedule · protected blocks

Grand Terrace first, then Village Healthcare. Twenty minutes for each interview, followed by fifteen minutes of supporting B-roll. Shared facility coverage counts once.

1:30–1:50
Aaron De La Torre · interview

Administrator at Village Healthcare. Confirmed per Christian. This is the participant, separate from crew member Aaron Resop.

1:50–2:05
Aaron De La Torre B-roll

Protect fifteen minutes and finish remaining shared facility coverage.

2:05–3:15
Final-hour plan · confirmation hold

The saved guide groups 2:05–2:35 as essential coverage/delay buffer and 2:35–3:15 as verification/pack. The earlier working order was 2:05 lunch, 2:35 pickups, 2:50 media, 3:05 pack and 3:15 departure. Christian must reconcile the final-hour order and permission beyond 3 PM; neither version is approved here. Use essential gaps before optional coverage.

If delayed: contact Christian before changing any participant start. Preserve interviews, fifteen-minute B-roll blocks, audio checks and the pack/transfer/setup buffers. Do not quietly compress them to fit optional shots.

Capture approach

Interviews

Prioritize clean, complete answers and usable sound. Aim for a relaxed conversation about a real experience, with a specific example rather than broad praise. Record full sentences and listen before moving to the next question.

20-minute flow: 0–2 minutes name and comfort → 2–13 core prompts and a real example → 13–18 clarify → 18–20 close, check sound and coverage.

Fifteen-minute B-roll plan

Real-time first: build a wide / medium / detail sequence and capture a genuine interaction. Get two distinct usable inserts per participant; a third is optional. Complete shared facility shots once. Add only one or two slow-motion shots if time remains. Do not double every setup or spend the transfer/reset buffers on extra coverage.

Participant inserts

  • Natural arrival or a short walk.
  • A real task related to an interview answer.
  • Optional clean hands/task detail.

Shared facility coverage · each site

  • Clean exterior wide and readable facility sign.
  • Approved common-area wide.
  • Real staff workflow in a medium shot.
  • Clean detail without patient information.
  • Approved staff interaction.

Proposed technical standard · verify before rolling

  • Project, edit, delivery, interviews and real-time B-roll: 23.976 fps (RED display 23.98).
  • Optional 59.94 fps capture for 2.5× slow motion on a 23.976 timeline. Restore 23.98 capture afterward. Use this only for selected non-dialogue shots.
  • Start around a 180° shutter, then record/play a flicker test under the actual room lights and dimmers. Adjust for the room rather than assuming the starting value is safe.
  • Audio: 48 kHz / 24-bit, matching sync settings. Record a sync test, clap/slate as needed, monitor on headphones and spot-play picture and sound from both cameras.
  • Verify the exact RED body: original KOMODO needs the 4K window for 59.94 capture; KOMODO-X supports 6K at that rate. Check actual body, firmware, format, media and adapters before choosing a mode.
  • Lock white balance for each room. Check exposure, focus and matching monitoring transforms before the participant sits down.

Pre-departure checks

Interview prompts

Use Morgan’s five core prompts for each participant, then follow the story. Confirm the actual job title before choosing role followups.

  1. Tell me your name, role and the building we are in.
  2. What does your day look like when it comes to medications?
  3. Think of a medication issue Carvajal handled. What happened?
  4. When you call Carvajal, who picks up and what happens next?
  5. What would you tell a facility leader choosing a pharmacy?

Alfredo · nursing

  • What does a good delivery morning look like for your nurses?
  • Tell me about a late-night or weekend need. How did it go?
  • How does working with Carvajal change things for your residents?

Nefi / Aaron · administration

  • Why did your building choose Carvajal, and why do you stay?
  • What does customer service mean to you in a pharmacy partner?
  • If you have used their consulting, what did it add? Keep brief.

Close: “Is there anything I didn’t ask that you want to say?” Then, “In a sentence, what is Carvajal to your building?”

No scripted praise, named-competitor comparisons or uncleared clinical claims. Keep patient information out of answers and picture. Confirm permission before filming.

Visual look and room plan

Natural skin, neutral whites and a clean background with separation. Carvajal navy #002D56, blue #5593BD and white are working graphic colors from public assets, pending the brand guide. Use them mainly for titles, map and closing graphics; no matching wardrobe or props are required.

Neutral corporate interview reference by Tom Shaw via Aputure
Tom Shaw / high-rise via Aputure. Framing and contrast reference; a different room and larger lighting package. This is not Carvajal footage or an approved film asset.
Pharmacy task detail reference via GOV.UK and DHSC
GOV.UK / DHSC public-page image. Unrelated pharmacy task; a framing reference only, not Carvajal footage or an approved film asset.

Lighting and camera placement

  • Prefer a larger, quiet room with background separation. Get room/window photos; verify blinds, curtains or a quieter alternative.
  • Proposed kit: amaran F22 soft key near the subject and three STORM 80c units used selectively for edge/background detail and reserve. Verify F22 c/x, modifiers, supports and power.
  • Ask Trevor/Aaron about black duvetyne or solids, sizes, stands and clamps. Shape daylight and reduce spill; bring a backup light for bright sunlight or a difficult room.
  • Keep both cameras on the same side of the interview line. The participant looks toward the interviewer just off the main lens. The tighter angle favors the shadow side. Agree physical left/right placement in the recorded test; do not cross the line.
  • Stryde’s Blackmagic gimbal or Aaron’s rig was discussed. Use Aaron’s rig only if the changeover is quick and comfortable; verify the actual setup before adding another task.
Patient privacy: no readable labels, records, screens or whiteboards. Film residents only with the required signed consent. Keep uncleared people out of frame and use approved filming areas.

Wrap, offload and drive options

Choose capacity from the combined footage size of both cameras. Expect a 2 TB SSD if the total fits comfortably; aim for no more than about 1.6 TB to leave headroom. If even close, move to the larger HDD. The locally verified fallback is 5 TB, rather than the 4 TB size discussed.

Neither drive is purchased or reserved. Availability was last checked October 19 around 8:28 PM Central. Verify stock and price before travel or purchase. HDD copies are slower and should run while stationary. Do not promise a complete verified copy during the drive home. Protect morning arrival/setup buffers before adding a shopping stop.

Checklist marks on this public reference do not confirm another person’s availability or authorize a booking, purchase or schedule change.

Work-only public crew reference. Contact-enabled PDFs and original interactive notes remain in the private crew package. Updated from verified production material and Christian’s latest direct corrections; open access and timing items remain explicitly marked.
